Frankie Small, MSW

Like the other poster said, things started out well, until they no longer were. Frankie started to not pay attention to the things I was speaking about, instead focusing on her tablet. She was very dismissive at the end of her collecting my insurance, because let’s face it, that’s all she was doing when I was in “therapy” with her. I guess maybe she should change her title to retail therapy, because that’s what she’s doing during your visits. She also has a tendency to speak down, at least to me she did. Terrible experience. Do not go here!

After a few good visits, we felt that she started becoming very defensive and didn’t really listen to our concerns. Was very rude and said she would no longer see our child and kept talking over me and trying to get us out. We never went back and found a new therapist that our son really connected with and had a positive visit. Frankie Small would try to make things negative when they weren’t. She is not a good therapist for kids or families. Visits were rushed or never on time. I recommend you find someone that is more positive when dealing with children and knows how to stick to a schedule.

I have been seeing Dr. Small for about 5 years now. She has helped me through an abusive relationship, cancer, loss of my house, and the deaths of my 5 dogs, ( they went within 4 months of each other while I was going through chemo), they were my emotional support team. She Listens. She remains objective. She calls me on my BS when I don't want to face something head-on. She has kept me honest with myself. She is willing to draw out appointments when you are emotionally unstable at the end of your appointment. For me, her compassion and straightforward speaking style have made it easier for me to build trust and open up with her. I choose her after trying several others in my area because she deals with children and PTSD.

Frankie Small has worked wonders with my 13 year old son. He did not want to see her at first, but eventually warmed up to her the 2nd time we came. He doesn't mind going now. She has helped by giving us ideas of how to help him and his younger brother get along. We have had no issues with scheduling. It's super easy to schedule online.

I arrange an appointment for my phone took off work and have my son out of school only to be told when we arrived that he could not be seen. Total waste of time.
