Reading the above review, thought I'd add my experience. Not only did I have all of the reviewer's above observances, Ms. Ellis went one better with us and FIRED us! my 15 year old was sitting there saying she wanted to continue therapy, but Ms. Ellis said she wasn't even talking, wasn't sure why we were coming back for our 4th session. This woman is CLUELESS about the therapeutic process, and especially with kid's process. Found a new therapist, who just sits with my teen if she doesn't want to talk... they color, make slime, do the parallel play thing that makes my daughter feel comfortable. After a few sessions she opened up.

Genevieve was late for EVERY session we had. From day one she appeared and sounded unprofessional, regularly eating lunch during our calls and even trying to end a session early that she was already ten minutes late to joining. All too often, she would use her own personal opinions and perspective to alter the conversation to almost intentionally cause provocation, would not let you get an answer out before she would be talking over you, and is way too opinionated to be impartial with couples. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. It’s pretty clear that even with her minimal four years of experience, she requires substantially more training and work on her personal skills, pulling teeth has been more comfortable that sitting in a session for 45 minutes with this inexperienced “therapist”.
