I've been seeing Heather Myrick for 2+ yrs. and find her to be caring, tough and honest. In the 1st visit she will explain what is happening with your diabetes, how it affects your body and overall health and what your options are. She listens to your thoughts and needs and answers any questions. She comes off as rough. But she is a highly educated and caring person who is passionate about her patients. It took me a few visits to fully see this in her. She worked with me to develop a plan for that works wonderfully. Her continued support and knowledge help me keep my A1C good.

I do agree that Heather is very rough around the edges, but, I see past that and humor her because it's just her personality. If you are overly sensitive, then she will not be the best fit for you. I really don't care what attitude she gives me because I will give it right back to her! Don't be afraid to speak up and use your voice! This is YOUR health, YOUR diabetes, YOU are paying HER to provide exceptional care and if you need to file a complaint instead of complaining about it. There are many other Endocrinologists out there that will be a good fit for you. It really comes down to one/one personality.

i was a bit shocked to see the negative reviews! i wondered if this was the same person that i have been seeing for care. heather, for me, has been an outstanding healthcare provider. her depth of knowledge, attention to the whole of my health, and her manner are all big pluses. she has been direct about some issues that she needed to be direct about. this input was not experienced by me as negative--it helped me to focus on taking a more active role in my treatment. Five stars from me!

My experience with Heather was less than desirable. She was abrasive and lacked the capacity to listen, gather information about my health history, and extend compassion. I would never go back to her for any type of medical care. Please research different options before seeing her.
