I saw Heather for my 1st baby (2015) and my 3rd baby (2021). She was very informative on all my visits. She also had solutions to any problems/questions I had. She was so supportive of all my choices. I have had all natural births with all my children. She let me and my husband do our thing and was more in the background if/when we needed help or anything. She wasn’t overbearing or all in our business. I plan to go to her for any future children as well.

Heather was my midwife at CHI Immanuel. Visits went well leading up to having my baby. I’d planned on having a water birth in the birthing suite, but due to some last minute complications it became evident that wouldn’t happen. I went from imagining this beautiful water birth my whole pregnancy to being crammed into a normal hospital room and having needles jammed into me and an intense dose of pitocin. It was extremely disappointing and I felt patronized by her efforts to make me feel better about it. After my baby was born, instead of waiting for my placenta to naturally come out, she tugged on it and my umbilical cord. She showed me my placenta and showed me where it had torn which indicated that placenta was still attached somewhere inside of me. She ordered an ultrasound and reached her arm inside of me to see if she could find it. The ultrasound showed something was still in there, which she later acknowledged. I couldn’t get a D&C until 6 weeks later. It was such an awful time.

Heather Ramsey is one of the most negligent midwives I've ever met and Bellevue Medical Center is even worse. I cannot even reason with myself how this woman is employed by CHI now and I cannot wrap my head around the fact that the Bellevue Medical Center still exists. In 2011 Ramsey left me in the middle of labor with her partner, whom I'd never met before. Turned out Ramsey was fired from Bellevue Medical Center in the days leading up to my labor and delivery and didn't notify me. I spent 64 hours in labor, the epidural didn't work, her replacement midwife left me pushing for 8 hours. NO ONE CHECKED THE DIRECTION AND LOCATION OF THE BABY. She was born sunnyside up, lucky to be alive. On top of that me and my newborn had an allergic reaction to Penicilin and my complaints of pain from the penicilin were ignored for hours. A rash ensued after the fact. Oh and a nurse filed a CPS complaint against me using my personal info from their system because I wouldn't vaccinate.

Heather was one of my midwives for the birth of my first child. I saw her while she was at The Midwife's Place in Bellevue, NE. My care there was superb. My appointments were on time and I never felt rushed. Heather was very patient with all my questions, and made sure I had all the information I needed to have a safe and empowered birth. Highly recommend.
