With a great deal anxiety and years of trauma behind me I found Helen to be a life saver. Not only did she show me how to fearlessly feel, she taught how to never shortchange myself; I will never feel limited due to my past issues or rare moments of anxiety. She was encouraging, understanding, empathetic, kind, open, and humble. She always took time to explain and educate, never, ever belittled, and was always available- this was so appreciated and comforting. I was a client at age 19, when she had an office close to Syracuse, NY. At 46, I am a happily married massage therapist in Hawaii, and I still think about how important she was in helping me learn to self-regulate and reflect on my motivations. It was good to talk to someone who is supportive, but also willing to be firm. She planted seeds, and it was up to me to allow their growth. Therapy is a collaboration, and I am, after all this time, grateful for our work together.
