While I’ve always been fond of this provider, she completely dismissed my pain when I was in her office in tears. I was told it was “probably just ovulation pain” and it ended up being two ovarian cysts which grew to be over 7 and 9cms by the time I was able to get in with a new provider in a different practice. I was scheduled for surgery on the first visit after my PCP (who I had to go to in the meantime due to the sheer pain I was in) ordered a CT scan which found the cysts. Not only did they remove the cysts, they also diagnosed me with endometriosis. I wish she had taken the time to listen and not dismiss the pain I was in by telling me it was “probably” something I’m very well aware of. Very disappointing, but I think this is a wonderful teaching moment for her.

Helene is absolutely amazing. I'm someone who is quite uncomfortable with most GYN exams, and Helene always makes me feel calm and comfortable. She cares greatly for her patients and always makes sure to cover all of her patients needs and take the time to discuss any concerns or questions. She always makes me feel like I'm a priority and I feel very lucky to have found her so soon after moving to the area.
