Dr. Isaac Bak, OD

Dr. Bak helped me when I accidentally sat on my only pair of glasses and required an emergency prescription and replacement pair. After getting my new prescription, something felt off, so I went back to see him and he was ready to help me and figure out what went wrong. He explained to me in full detail what the issue was, and it turned out my prescription wasn't the issue, it was the size of the frames I had purchased. After trying the new prescription in the correct sized frames, I had no trouble seeing at all. He is extremely kind and gives in-depth explanations to any questions I have posed. Knowledgable as the best of them, and ready to share that knowledge with those who are curious. I highly recommend him and his staff at the Walmart Vision Care Center in Hamilton to anyone who needs an eye exam.

I visited Dr. Bak after seeing 2 optometrists and 1 opthalmologist within the span of 6 months, trying to find someone to correct my blurry vision, especially when reading. Dr. Bak identified that my issue involved a complex adjustment to the prism already included in my lense. He referred me to a doctor who specializes in prism correction (I didn't know there was such a thing!), and that referral has been transformative. My reading vision is now clear--for the first time in years. I am so so grateful to Dr. Bak!! While other doctors simply issued me an Rx when I presume they had to realize the complexity of my issue, Dr. Bak used his knowledge to get me to the right expert. Thank you Dr. Bak!! Plus, Dr. Bak and his staff are super nice--icing on the cake!

Dr Bak takes his time with you, is very thorough and answers any questions you have. Last year, he picked up an unusual eye issue my son had and immediately referred us to a retinal specialist (who was impressed Dr Bak caught the problem). I trust him fully with my family’s vision care. I followed him from Nassau Park Blvd. to Nottingham. I’d follow him anywhere. He is an amazing practitioner.
