Itala Azzarelli, LCSW

I have known Itala Azzarelli both personally and professionally for over 25 years. Ms. Azzarelli has dedicated her career to children and adolescents with neurodivergence. She is a kind, compassionate, and extremely skilled clinician with years of research and clinical experience. She will often work with some of the most challenging clients to help them reshape behavioral concerns, resolve interpersonal conflict, and help them focus on their life goals. There is not a family she won’t try to help, even families who may have not had previous success with other providers. Ms. Azzarelli is a consummate professional and has an incredible sense of connection with many of her clients. In the last few years, she took an opportunity to work with a fledgling private practice with many challenges. Despite those challenges, she remained focused on her clients’ needs to help them grow despite. I highly recommend Ms Azzarelli for your child or adolescent.

Shames and blames parents for client's lack of progress and if parent has a parenting philosophy she disagrees with. Has no plan for treatment that she shares with parents. Not ND affirming. Only uses behaviorist modalities. Talks to parents in a demeaning and unprofessional manner.
