Ivette Joseph, APRN

I like Ivette Joseph very much. She is very attentive, asks pertinent questions about my complaints and is always caring about how I am doing. She is very knowledgeable in her profession and I feel confident in her advice. She has helped me in every way she could before and after my surgery.

Lack of bedside manner very condescending and dismissive. I Told her my symptoms and treated me as if I was fabricating symptoms . Re-prescribed old medication that had nothing to do with my current symptoms. Treated me like I was wasting her time . Brushed me off about health concerns and rushed me out of the room . Poor service seeking new physician

I have seen her twice, and both times found her to be brusque, dismissive, and clearly only interested in filling out the required fields in her EHR. After both visits, her notes make clear that she did not listen. Symptoms I have/described are listed as not present. She expressed skepticism that I have a genetic disorder that I and my family do have and am treating (this is concerning as her office prescribes the treatment. And now I have to worry about being cut off from necessary medication). She claimed that a heartrate change from 75 BPM lying down to 125 BPM standing was "normal." She interrupted/closed off all attempts to discuss the symptoms for which I made the appointment. This office has always had long wait times-I was not surprised to be seen an hour after my appt time-but I didn't mind when my previous provider took her time with me. Ivette left me waiting for an hour after appointment time then rushed me out as fast as she could. I will be finding a new primary provider.
