Jack Levin, LICSW

My wife and I were looking for marriage help and a friend recommended that we look into seeing Jack Levin!! We were hoping for in person appts but unfortunately he only did appts via zoom. We were nervous at first about talking about our personal problems with someone we had never met that was on the other side of the computer screen. But during our first appt he made us feel comfortable and welcome!! It was during that first appt that we had realized that he wasn’t all fluff and was honest and real!! He has helped us thru very difficult conversations and has helped us realize how to be be a better couple be better best friends and better lovers! He helped us soo much to get deep down and realize why we my wife and I had soo much resentment and anger towards was higher and how to be able to talk about what was bothering us no matter how hard that conversation was!! The past six months have been absolutely helped our marriage rekindle that spark!! He helped save our marriage

Where do I begin? I started seeing Jack in April 2017 and worked with him during a very difficult time in my life. He helped me navigate through a very dark and desperate time. He gave me so many amazing tools and the self confidence in myself to achieve my goals and help me live a better life. Jack has been a huge part of my growth in life for the past several years. He has always kept me honest with myself which has been a huge part of my recovery. I just recently decided to attack another issue in my life and without Jack this could not have been possible. Jack has had a huge impact on my life and I would not be in the position I am today without Jack's insight and his wisdom. I am extremely fortunate to have found Jack so many years ago and because of that I truly believe my life would not be where it is today with out him.

I have seen Jack for many years now, going back to a few in-person appointments before the pandemic, after which we switched to video calls. Jack is, first and foremost, a real person. We are focused on my issues in our appointments but Jack does not hesitate to share from his life where appropriate. This has helped over the years to build trust between us. As things have, unfortunately, heated up in my mental health circumstances in the past year, I look to our sessions as regular recalibrations to keep me going in the right direction. He is a professional and compassionate listener who knows when to challenge me in a gentle and positive way, which is sorely needed, and when to empathize and provide support. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any prospective patient. I am grateful for all the help that he has been able to provide me in our years together.

Gained some much needed insight…let the growing/healing begin!! Our sessions have become a huge part of my recovery program. You should add recovery coaching to your credentials? You’re pretty much a sponsor to me as well as my therapist. Maybe I need to do another fourth step?

I worked with Jack for the past six months; we went through a great journey of introspection; since July 2022 I got a lot of improvement in my career and my personal life. I am very thankful for Jack, he is a great therapist ??

About 2015, I needed a new therapist. I phoned many, and was lucky to find Jack who had an opening. He has been a thoughtful listener, willing to challenge me to think more deeply about myself and others. He has taught me, gently, to be less critical and more accepting of myself. He has helped me to love my present family more deeply and openly. He has helped me to make friends. Jack helps me to clarify my goals and to stay on course. Although, we disagree pointedly sometimes, I can clarify my own opinion. He can reorient me to my original goals when I stray. He celebrates my successes with me. He encouraged me early on to forgive my parents, let go of my resentments and live more in the present and less in the past. I have not been able to adopt these spiritual practices easily, but with hard work and Jack's persistent support, I am getting there. I have seen many therapists, but Jack has been by far the best match for me. I highly recommend him.

I have been working with Jack over the last year. He has helped me work through the hardest year I have ever had. What I like about Jack is he holds you accountable and does not sugar coat things. He challenges you to change and be a a better person and helps you to see where you can do better and what part you may play in certain relationships. Therapy is a lot of what you put into things- and Jack always has a way of showing up and being a "cheer leader" for personal growth. I would not the version of myself I am today if I had not found Jack. Simply put he can challenge you which can be hard however very rewarding. I am very thankful for Jack and what he has taught me.

Jack listens carefully and asks questions. He understands me and my issues very well and has helped me make very important decisions over the years I have been seeing him. I like the fact that he has challenged me, and I have made many changes over the years.

Jack is completely unprofessional. Made fun of my mental health challenges and was a very rude person. Would not recommend at all and don’t think he should be in the mental health field whatsoever. Could be a danger to individuals who are really suffering.

Tried couples counseling. He interrupted me a lot and would not let me respond or react, was very odd. Not beneficial or respectful of me and my time, especially when you take the time to do counseling with a new baby and can’t even get a full complete sentence out. Definitely treats females differently than males. Would not recommend especially for couples/women.
