Ms. Jacqueline Mereday PA violates every norm of quality healthcare. I left past records at the front desk for her review beforehand. Instead, she entered the exam room late, rudely announcing a repeat colonoscopy of one performed just a year ago out of state. She gave no explanation, not referencing the records in front of me but putting in an order for the same-day surgical procedure without my consent. She abruptly left the room after only 10 minutes, yet billed Medicare for 45 minutes. Totally confused, I requested the medical record pursuant to HIPAA protocols because I had not given my consent. In her record, she referred to me as 'she' when I clearly presented myself as male, mentioning in the record that I had 'vaginal warts.' I immediately complained to Livanta, Medicare's Quality of Care Department. Bafflingly unprofessional.

Listens very carefully
I saw Dr Mereday for the first time today. She is shy, almost socially awkward, but who cares about that. This isn’t a tea party; It’s our health. I really appreciated that Dr Mereday listened, deeply, to my concerns - some of which are sort of embarrassing, but she made that feeling go away- and then responded with a plan of tests and treatment that showed that she had heard me and took my concerns seriously. I left feeling like I am in good hands. She is so much better than the dismissive senior doctor at Albany GI that I fled after one appointment….Don’t expect elegant party chatter here, Friends, but do expect a doc that listens, cares and sends you in the right direction.

I really like Dr. Mereday, she's always been very pleasant and straightforward with me about my health condition. I can contact her at anytime with any questions or concerns. When I'm with her it's all about me. More importantly she listens and hears my concerns. She doesn't try to make me think that my problems that I'm having is all and my head.

Be careful, Ms. Mereday is dangerous. I gave her five records for past colonoscopies. She set them aside, claiming everything I had to say was 'heresay,' abruptly ordering a repeat colonoscopy without my informed consent and without reviewing medical necessity, alternatives, and risks and benefits.

Hard to schedule with or contact
I am currently being treated for GERD. I was transferred over to Jackie when my other provider left. For about the past two months I been experiencing a flare up. It took way to many calls to get medical advice and the earliest I could be seen was October it was Jul at the time. It took an ER visit for dehydration related to my gerd for them to magically find an appointment to see her. I was told to get an endoscopy I think by just being lucky I got one 2 weeks after that appointment because the front told me they were scheduling out in October it now Aug. I'm currently suffering from acid reflux going up into my throat and my throat feels raw and it hurts a lot. I called on Wednesday to try and get advice. Didn't hear anything. Called on Thursday didn't hear anything. Got a call on Friday with advice for stuff I was already doing and they were increasing my meds to a does I was already taking. Long story short I'm not happy. Though Jackie herself when you do see her is very nice.

This is one of the least caring or interested (in the patient) providers I've had the misfortune to encounter. She is uncommunicative and unresponsive.
