Not for behavioral issues
I do not recommend his service. It did not improve my child’s behavior. The parent-child relationship worsened. He described my child as “exactly kind of a child who will end up in a newspaper (definitely implying not in a good way…)”. My child is very resentful that he had to go through counseling sessions with him.

Kind and Thorough
We went to Dr Jamie for a neuropsych evaluation of our 6 yo daughter. The evaluation involved 3 appointments, which I think is typical: an initial interview/consultation, a 3 hour testing appointment, and a follow-up review of the findings with just myself and my husband. Dr Jamie's evaluation was incredibly thorough and he was happy to answer all of our questions. He was also very kind and patient with our daughter, which relaxed her during the long testing appointment. The report is already helping us get our daughter the accommodations and treatments she needs. It's such a relief to know what's going on! Thank you Dr Jamie!

From the second I called to the day I received feedback, and everything in-between, Dr. Keyes was professional, genuine, and caring. He truly understands autism in adults (and females!) which is hard to find in the area. I highly recommend him for evaluating autism in adults, and especially females.

Dr. Keyes is a genius psychologist particularly on the subject of autism. There are many psychologists who work with children on the spectrum but he is the only mental health professional I have ever met who understands autism in adults as well.

Dr. Keyes is a truly extraordinary provider. Many providers I have seen before just listen while I talk, maybe offering bits of generic advice. Dr. Keyes was able to cut right to the chase with me, I made significant progress while seeing him. His approach is very effective. He offers valuable feedback, is genuinely empathetic and has a very practical, yet constructive way of inciting change. Unfortunately, I was forced to go back to a different insurance carrier, where he is out of network, but once I am able to I will be coming back to him.

I came to Dr. Keyes for help with some of my anxiety issues. Since going to appointments with him my anxiety problems have significantly improved. I've learned a lot of helpful things that I can do to try and cope with my anxiety and also how to deal with stress in healthier ways than I was previously dealing with it. He has also helped me to build up my self esteem and he taught me to notice when I have negative thoughts about a situation and to replace them with more positive thoughts.

Dr. Keyes' importance should not be underestimated. I was on welfare, had many forms of OCD, and I was also very suicidal. I was dealing with emotional torture from abuse.. Dr. Keyes taught me about my disorders, which led me to opening up about my problems with my family and loved ones. Now, I'm off of welfare, 100% open with my life, I've healed from most of my OCD , I'm off of drugs completely, and I have a new life. I'm no longer suicidal and I can get to utilizing my education.

Dr Keyes was great during are sessions with my daughter. He was very caring about are our concerns we had as parents of of a child with communication issues. His evaluation process was continued by many sessions to help me talk to my daughter about social skills that she needed. Dr Keyes went as far as to ask that we (two grown men) get down to my daughters level a pretend that we were little girls on the playground asking to play. This added confindence that she could use has a first grader.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Keyes?
Dr. Keyes is rude and arrogant. He wrote up a four sentence write up on my child with Autism and decided he had behavior issues and that we need to be more engaged parents. Getting a second opinion was the best thing I ever did. I refused to go to him to diagnose my second child with Autism. Group Health members deserve more!

Dr. Keyes is a hidden treasure. I highly recommend Dr. Keyes as he has truly revolutionized my life. His compassion, understanding, and non-judgmental attitude has given me a second chance at life. He has significantly reduced my emotional pain, taught me how to gain self-esteem, and helped me to get out of suicidal ideation. He is very intelligent, organized, and thoughtful. The world needs more people like Dr. Keyes. Dr. Keyes will become highly sought after, and I thank God that I've met him.
