My daughter got worse while seeing Janalisa and she never attempted to reach out to me (my daughter's only and legal guardian) while my mother was taking her to Janalisa.
This was over the course of about 9 months. She regularly allowed my mother to sit in on sessions with my daughter and complain about me. Still never contacted me about this 3rd party involvement in her therapy - and the issues brought up by the 3rd party which are not protected by hippa.
My daughter is now on medication (which Janalisa advised against) and seeing a different counselor(she also advised against that via email... The ONLY way she ever communicated with me aside from in a session ).
Things are so much better! I'm so glad I caught on, my daughter let me know what was happening, and she is still with us today.
For your children's sake, don't ever think about bringing them to her.
