Dr. Jane Derk, PHD

We were going through a very high stress court case involving our son and his recently released biological father. After research, we reached out to Dr. Derk to be our PRE. She performed a very thorough investigation of both families and remained impartial through the entire process. It was very hard on all parties involved, but she genuinely had the best interest of our entire family in mind as she gathered her information. She interviewed many people and followed up on all avenues, leaving no stone untouched. I did see mention of her not knowing the names of the parties being investigated. She may have an occasional slip up, considering you will not be the only family she is working with, but trust me when I say she knows exactly who she is talking to and about, as well as the case that is being discussed.

Our experience with Dr. Derk was absolutely horrible. Who in the world gave her a degree. Dr. Derk is letting monsters and criminals roam free in this state because she is easily manipulated and/or paid off. If there was an option for zero stars then that is what she deserves. When she was "investigating", she did not even know the names of the people she was investigating nor did she know the time frame of any of the situations. She has to repeatedly ask the same question and repeats different answers. I really wish this state would recognize whom they are letting investigate serious family/criminal issues dealing with children!

My family had therapy with Dr. Derk and my children really opened up with her. This made such a difference for us. I recommend her without hesitation!

I have worked with Dr. Derk for many years and have entrusted her with many of my most personal issues and complaints. She is kind, worthy of your employment, and has years of experience that are invaluable to her line of work.

Dr. Derk is very thorough and in times of intense trauma she was able to provide a light to me and my family. I see a lot of reviews here of upset parents in CFI and they don't reflect my experience. She deals with lots of high conflict work with professionalism and compassion, but has to deal with a lot of nasty people as you can see.

Dr. Derk is very patient with children, her work and has a very kind heart for all she works with. She shows her most concern with children and not only tries to maintain her professionism but her best interest is for the children. Thak you for all have done for me and my children.

I scheduled an appointment to help deal with grief and depression caused by a friend commiting suicide. Dr. Derk did not listen to my concerns and issues. Instead, she wanted to develope strategies for dealing with my employer and the work environment that caused my friend to commit suicide. It appeared that she had issues with my employer, and her own agenda to deal with them in the guise of providing "counseling."
