I have seen Dr. Nealer for ten years. She has been tremendously helpful to me as a therapist, telling me what I need to hear, and offering ways in which I can help myself. She is empowering and helpful. I recommend her very highly.

It seems to me when your ego is being confronted (attacked) you will automatically have your guard up. I read the not so good reviews and I am glad I went anyway. She is direct and to the point! She was very effective in her demeanor for me. I appreciated how she was able to calm my frustration which allowed me to recognize the part I play in this and that I needed to change my bad behavior before I could expect anyone else to change theirs. I would definitely recommend Dr. Nearler, only, if you are serious about fixing you! I think maybe when writing a review we all need to take into account "different strokes for different folks" I would not want to waste my money or time on someone who just pacified me. If you need someone to sugarcoat the truth for you, then Dr. Nealer is not the one! "If we can set our ego aside and stop blaming everyone else only then we might have a chance."

Very knowledgeable and thoughtful. Helpful and supportive, Dr. Nealer gives her all to her patients. When necessary she will push and try to get you moving - not always comfortable but was important to get me moving. Thanks?

I do not recommend Dr. Nealer for marriage counseling and wish I had seen reviews before going in. She takes sides, interrupts, made judgments within minutes of meeting a couple of what she thinks will happen, contradicts herself, told me information that she says my spouse said in a confidential appointment, is judgmental, and doesn't listen. She made false statements about both my spouse and I and caused more damage than good.

Dr. Nealer can be confrontational and appears to choose sides with couples therapy. She only focuses on one person and does not evaluate the entire problem and move to solve it. Her advice/statements are judgmental at best and often conflict with later statements often times within the same therapy session. After our last session I will not return nor would I recommend her to anyone !
