I had a good first appointment with her but should have trusted my instinct that something was “off.” In our second session she shared what I felt was an inappropriate amount of personal information about her husband’s health with me. About twenty minutes in, she began asking me the same questions over and over again, despite writing down the answers. Then she dozed off — more than once. I woke her up and let her know I was leaving and would not be back. It is not easy to get the ball rolling with a new therapist. I feel I’m worse off after two sessions with her than I was before I came to find her. She should not be practicing if she can’t stay awake or stop her personal/family issues from impacting her level of care for patients.
