I felt my daughter was getting silent and growing apart from me when she entered middle school. After working with Janine for about 8 sessions of mother-daughter therapy, I learn the following:1) my child misunderstood a few of my past actions during her younger childhood as me not loving or liking her as a person 2) I need to trust her judgement more and recognize that she is her own person (with set boundaries) and that she is getting older 3) I need to give myself grace and take care of myself too4) keep learning and trying to show her that I love herOur relationship has improved tremendously. She is no longer as afraid to tell me anything and I yell a lot less. It truly helps our family dynamic when both of us are communicating better. Janine helped us to achieve that.

I sought Janine out for marriage counseling. She is not objective. She does not actively listen and ended up causing more damage in my marriage. Find help elsewhere.

It was a bad experience that I would not recommend her to anyone. I saw her for therapy to receive help for my PPD and she kept encouraging me to put my daughter up for adoption. She was always so pushy and telling me why would I want to bring in a child into this world that I do not love. Seeing her for therapy made things worse that she left a scar and had me more traumatized. Thank God I knew she was a horrible therapist and told my counselor that I no longer wished to see her as she wasn't a fit, nor was she to tell me what to do.

She is an excellent Therapist. She really seems to genuinely care about the client and their needs. Would highly recommend her.
