A friend recommended Jason to me when I was seeking a temporary replacement while my previous therapist was on leave. I ended up switching to him permanently because I felt like I made significant progress with him that I had not seen with other therapists. He does not take a 'one size fits all' approach to treatment; he takes the time to get to know you as a person to tailor your experience to your needs. I feel seen and heard when I visit with Jason. He listens without judgment. I feel like he strikes an excellent balance between expecting me to do the work - not letting me get away with skiving off putting in the effort - but also being flexible during rough times when I just can't, when I need to take it easy and not dig quite so deep. I feel like Jason actually cares about my wellbeing; I'm not just another name on his schedule. I highly, highly recommend him to anyone who wants their life to be changed for the better!

Life Changing Counseling
Jason was recommended by a friend who had turned her life around. I decided to change counselors hoping he could help me better cope with trauma, anger management and relationship issues. For over two years now I have been able to save my marriage, improve relationships and deal with past traumas. Sometimes doing the work to get better isn’t always easy but 100% worth the effort. Jason is very kind, intelligent, compassionate and honest. The best counseling I have ever received. I highly recommend Jason to everyone needing counseling!

The best of the best!!!
I have been going to therapy for 30 years off and on during my life. I have seen multiple therapists and every experience was different. I have never been to one that has truly helped me the way Jason has. Jason has fully facilitated an environment where I am comfortable in being vulnerable. He has helped me uncover all the truth in my past trauma and has successfully helped me throughout the healing process. I've seen Jason for years now and I can honestly say no one in my entire life has helped me the way that he has during our sessions. We have done extensive trauma work and he has never made me feel judged or helpless. He has made such an impact on who I am now even with everything I've gone through. It brings me to tears to write this review because that is how much he has helped me. I have been able to trust this man more than anyone else in my life with all my feelings, all of my thoughts, and all of my pain. I wouldn't be the same without his passion for helping people.

Life Saver
Jason is a true life saver. I have had several therapists in my lifetime and never one that actually pays attention to what you are saying and doing in your life. Jason was the connection I have been missing in my life. Together we have worked through several life traumas. Initially I was skeptical when he wanted to perform EDMR therapy. I opened my mind and shut my mouth and allowed the process to work. We kept at it and after several sessions I began to notice changes in the way I thought about life traumas and situations that were triggers. EDMR therapy is a true life saver. Jason is a true life saver!

When it became known to my third therapist that I likely had PTSD, she referred me to Jason Hart. After a year of therapy with CBT and EMDR, I've made far more progress in recovering my mental health than I ever had with my previous three therapist. This isn't to say that my previous therapists did a bad job, they just weren't equipped to deal with a case like mine. Over the past year of weekly therapy sessions, I've had a significant reduction in nightmares, I almost never wake up mid sleep anymore, I handle the daily stress of my job much better and I swear a lot less. I don't have panic attacks anymore, either. Living my life feels a lot more comfortable and less threatening than it used to be. Over the course of my therapy, I've addressed significant past traumas, like personal injuries, medical and dental malpractice, childhood and adult bullying, catastrophic losses, and grief. I still feel sad about my personal tragedies sometimes, but I've come to accept them, even if I don't approve of them. This lets me enjoy the moment again. Depressive symptoms are better and anxiety symptoms are mostly gone. I still have work to do, but the worst traumas are dealt with, and I feel better for it.

Disability Discrimination
I came to Mr. Hart for treatment for C-PTSD. He is one of Tulsa's few certified trauma specialists, so I thought I was getting help from the best. Unfortunately, Mr. Hart chose to 'refer out' the second I shared my grief re: my previous therapist doing the same. I’m currently disabled by my symptoms, on leave from work, and need a therapist who will send progress notes to my STD co. I cleared this with the intake assessment team before starting therapy, and I was assured that Laureate Outpatient Clinic and its providers have no problem supporting disabled clients in this way. But Mr. Hart does not. Mr. Hart argued with me and gaslighted me when I protested that this felt like a discriminatory referral & that I felt he was discriminating against me. He was unprofessional and retraumatizing. He shouldn't be working with vulnerable people. Mental illness is the leading cause of disability in the WORLD. Anyone practicing in mental health should know this and behave accordingly.
