His insights and observations are not of the highest value and often times they are glaringly obvious. Accordingly, I would suggest that you can probably easily find a more effective provider. My suggestion would be to "interview" a few providers before you go with Dr. Wemmers.

He is difficult to work with. His fees are too high in proportion to what you get. His results are mediocre at best. I am not sure where his degree is from but I would like to know more about this.

I saw Dr. Wemmers for about 2 years and he helped me more than I can even think how to say. I tried 3 therapists before him. I quit because I felt like I was floating and wasting money. I told my friend and she suggested I see him too. He immediately clarified things and helped me figure out what I wanted to change. It took a lot of work but I never felt like I didn't know what to do. Five stars.

He is a control freak. When you start with him you fill out pages of paperwork. He then makes a treatment plan. He plans what will be done, how, when, where. If you bring up anything not on his agenda he will act out and pounce on you. Also the fee that he charges is no where near close to the value that you get. I do not know how people that provide services like this can be in business! Total disappointment.

Jason Wemmers' personality was offputting from the start but what was particularly bothersome was his instinct to oversimplify and at the end of our session it felt like a buzzfeed quiz was diagnosing me. During our meeting he admittedly tried to correct me about the chemical properties of a medication I had been taking for years while I was asking a question that refered to that medication. A quick google search confirmed that he was simply incorrect - furthermore, if he had been correct it wouldn't have change the substance of the question nor the answer. Oddly, Jason Wemmers did not list his Argosy University qualifications on The Ross Center website - Argosy LLC was a for profit degree mill which gave you a degree if you paid and have subsequently gone out of business. The university of my doctor is not the #1 thing I care about, but this guy is about as qualified as any high schooler in the area. Don't waste your time, the Ross Center has better people.

I would say good for light to moderate anxiety or worry. Any outside of this will not get much benefit from his services. I consider the costs to be unnecessarily expensive. Results of an average range. Many of his suggestions are superficial and remind me of something a "life coach" (person without a degree) would say. Things like try yoga/meditation/breathing exercises to relax. I mean a ten dollar book from Amazon told me that.

Dr. Wemmers is excellent. He has a genuine interest in helping people get better. He has an excellent demeanor and inspires confidence. He is analytical and methodical. He helps you figure out how to deal with your situation, how to think about it in a positive manner, and take action as opposed to just talking in circles all day. He is results, action, and goal oriented. He seems to have a lot of life experience and is well put together. Overall, very highly recommended.

He is not good at communicating. Very ineffective communicator. He does not and will not directly answer questions. I also attempted to get my records from him and he refused to give me my records. I asked for an explanation and none was given. I did provide feedback that I would appreciate an explanation and no one at the Ross Center would answer me. Jason and The Ross Center are both very unprofessional.
