Jenna Viland, FNP

Jenna was my primary care provider for a few years, and I felt lucky to be in her care. I read a review on here from someone with PCOS - which I have as well. I found Jenna to be understanding but honest - she was worried about long term risks for diabetes and my overall health. So yes, she recommended that I lose weight - but she was very supportive and stressed that even losing a modest amount of weight could really benefit my health. Highly recommend Jenna.

Jenna has been my primary care for over 4 years. She has always taken the time to listen, understand, and validate my feelings and medical issues. She never rushes appointments and has great advice and treatment plans with proper follow up.

Jenna has good intentions, but I did not feel that her care was helpful or had my best interests in mind. In response to my diagnosis of PCOS, she pressured me continuously for over a year to lose weight (I have a very average body type. I am neither fat nor thin. Her pressuring made me feel as though I had somehow caused my struggles with this illness). She knowingly did this despite the fact that I have been battling an eating disorder for many years. In addition, she continuously pressured me to do the keto diet, which is a very restrictive diet that worsened my eating disorder behaviors considerably and threw a wrench in my recovery. When I approached her with my concerns, she overlooked my concerns completely. Both times, she acted like I hadn't said anything at all and refused to acknowledge me. I did not expect that. I was shocked at her coldness and lack of accountability. I have lost all trust in Jenna and I will not be seeing her again.

Jenna has always been warm and friendly during our office visits. I've seen her for well over a year now, and she's shown great compassion and care. When I bring up a concern, she's always willing to talk it through and okays any tests I want to have done. I've brought up some really sensitive issues with her and even cried during exams, something I've never done with another physician. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking someone who listens, cares, and respects her patients.

Ms. Viland was cold and uptight during my visit. She spent less than ten minutes with me for my annual physical. When she refilled my prescription she not only prescribed the wrong medication, but the generic version of a medication that my old doctor had taken me off of because it harmed my health. My experience with her has caused me emotional distress because of the prescription incident.
