Dismissive
As a first time mom, she dismissed my strong labor pains as prodromal labor and sent me home. I almost delivered my baby in the car back to the hospital. Thankfully she was not the midwife who delivered my child.

Doesn’t care for you
I was skeptical about getting my checkup from Dr Banda because of the reviews but had to see it for myself as I wanted to schedule a check up last minute. And indeed, it felt to me as though she did not care about the patient and did the bare minimum. Nothing offensively wrong she did thought. I will not continue my care with her.

Laughed at my living situation
When I was in a much more poor living situation, I saw her for a concern. Callous during the visit, and on her way out of the office told me 'Dont come back until you're out of that trailer park' and laughed. I was horrified, ashamed and disgusted with her behavior. Its been years and I've never forgotten how rude she was to me that day. If you see this Jennifer, I cried all the way home.

Really happy with her care
Jennifer is a great midwife. She has a calm and direct but pleasant demeanor. She is very knowledgeable and I appreciate her taking the time to review my chart before our first appt as I've had a pregnancy loss and didn't have to re-tell everything of my history since it's already available to her - this is not something every provider takes the time to do.

My concerns were ignored and laughed at. My pregnancy ended in stillbirth, which may have been avoided if I had been listened to. Go elsewhere, I also heard from a doctor that there have been multiple complaints about her. The ability to admit when you don’t know something is very important as a doctor.

I saw Jennifer for my pregnancy and felt so supported! She is very calm and funny and I was lucky enough to actually have her at my delivery because she's part of a big group. We had a complication during delivery that she handled calmly and made me and my baby feel safe the entire time.
