seen in er, admitted for flu. was told by the provider that i had high blood pressure based on readings taken while ill. i informed her id never been told that by any physician nor my family provider. she was basing her findings on the fact that being african american i was genetically predisposed. when i questioned further she admitted that she really couldn't say i had it or not as she had no knowledge of my history or access to my records. she then advised me to buy a monitor and follow it to determine for myself. upon leaving, she talked about me with the person discharging me AS IF I WEREN'T IN THE ROOM which i found EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. her manner became quite BRUSK, ABRASIVE, and DISMISSIVE. for this reason i give NO STARS. this is not how one expects to be treated when ill. unfortunately, it tarnished my entire view of the hospital.
