Dr. Jennifer Pugh, PHD

I had video sessions with J Pugh while I was in Syracuse, ending last winter. I was struggling with situational anxiety and depression and reached out to her for help. I did most of the talking during the sessions. She gave little to no guidance. I was struggling with depression and anxiety, reaching out for help, and I guess I just kept talking because I didn’t know what else I was supposed to be doing. At one point she stopped me from talking about the divorce I was going through, telling me that to do so would be “too much”. She let me ramble on about other tough stuff I was trying to deal with, again offering no practical guidance whatsoever. Apparently this is a therapy technique she learned while earning her PHD? PHD in what, I don’t know. All I know is that after 4 months I was in worse shape than when I started with this woman. It’s been a long hard struggle to get back on my feet since having Thankfully I have a competent Therapist through an online therapy service (Faithful Counseling). She doesn’t have a bunch of letters after her name like J Pugh does but thank the Lord I’m getting better now with her helpful therapy techniques. In summary, I believe that J Pugh did more harm than good for me.
