Jenny Guajardo, LPC

If you are looking for someone to listen and actually help you with your problems, this is the lady for you. Jenny is not a medicine pusher. That's one of the refreshing things that I like about her the most. Very open-minded and very experienced.

Knew about plenty of different causes for my symptoms and worked with me to find the ones bothering me.

I have been seeing Jenny for a couple months now. It is the high point of my week. I have been dealing with anger and an anxiety issues, seeing her weekly gives me a chance to speak and clear my mind. I would recommend her to anybody military or not.

I have been with this DR for at least 4yrs. She has been nothing but a professional and always helpful and available when I need her, she as also helped 1 of my children when they needed help. I would recommend and have sent other people to her that aren’t even Veterans. Thank you,David Guy

In my view, mental health therapy should be patient-led. Veterans, if you go to her and just want something like CBT or talk therapy to discuss trauma or chronic stressors, she may not be the right fit. I had explained to her that I was Autistic and Adhd and was content with being as such. In my case, it is genetic and runs on both sides of my family. She had mentioned terms like detoxing and 'curing autism' throughout the 23 minutes we did speak. I had tried to redirect her to focus on why I was there, which was to discuss chronic stressors...but she kept discussing diet changes, detox, and bugs. It wasn't what I was there for. She says, 'If you want a head nodder and someone to affirm you, that isn't what I am going to do.' Which wasn't what I needed or wanted. I felt invalidated and gaslit. The only good thing about her was having the integrity to say we wouldn't mesh well.

Jenny was a tremendous help for many reasons. She was very knowledgeable, really focused on the issues, and was able to provide a world of advice and feedback that helped give me direction with my specific challenges. If I have the need for future counseling, I will surely contact Jenny and pick up where we left off.

As an introvert, I felt comfortable about discussing current mental and physical health issues. She began by attaining details of what was happening within my body and am now relieved to be on the mend with a dx. This has quelled my anxiety about my deteriorating health and given me optimism and excitement about being back to my normal self.

After multiple sessions I feel like I am in the same place as before

I’m a disabled veteran that was referred here by the VA. I am very dissatisfied with how my experience went. First she was late to our video appointment. She sat there in awkward silence many times. She did not help me at all. Next appointment I missed due to an emergency at home. When I tried to reschedule her response was “I guess I will give you a second chance but no more wasting my time.” This is after she knew about my emergency with my family and the extenuating circumstances. She wasted my time when she was late to the first appointment and when she sat there in awkward silence just staring at me through a screen. I would leave 0 stars if I could. I already have a hard time talking about my mental health due to past experiences. I definitely do not need my Dr. who is supposed to help, telling me I am a waste of their time. Especially after the unprofessional way our first encounter went.

Jenny is wonderful. She's always welcome to see me when I need a friend to talk to. Her place is great for kiddos, if you need to bring one along. She has always been very helpful and upbringing. I always leave on a happy note and feel so much better. It's nice having someone you can talk to and trust.

Counseling sessions with Jenny are like having coffee with your best friend who is educated with all the best counsel! Bring your own coffee! She empathizes with everything I’m feeling. She explains to me how I can live my best life, but she expects me to make my own choices! She supports my decisions. She holds my hand when I mess up! She gets excited with me when I accomplish my goals! You can tell this sweet lady ANYTHING and she will not judge you. Your appointments are scheduled so there is never any wait time. You can see her in person or by telemedicine. You will be glad you met Jenny!!

Definitely would recommend to friends. She is caring and professional.

Jenny always responds to my appointment requests; is punctual and has a comfortable office with easy parking. She is open minded and offers lots of resources. I've seen her off and on for years with no plans to stop.

She is an excellent listener, as well as a compassionate and patient person! She understands your struggles and offers kind words, support, great advice, as well as a good laugh or two. I definitely would recommend her!

I’ve been seeing Mrs. Guajardo since August 2016, and she has been very helpful on getting me through my past history with not only with myself, but my children, parents deaths and past relationships. I strongly believe that God placed her in my path. I’m grateful I was able to get in to see her.

My experience with her was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend it.
