Not a good fit for us
She seemed to find any push back or resistance, from my VERY sweet 10 year old overwhelming and was constantly talking about her own 'boundaries,' like maybe she learned in grad school, but felt totally inappropriate considering the level of what was happening in session. Also, she told my daughter OVER AND OVER again, that she wasn't making her be there. So, I kept having to then tell my daughter, 'well, I'm making you be here...' I specifically asked her to stop this behavior, which she did not. When we finally decided to cut ties in session, because she didn't find my child motivated enough to make change (and we agreed she was a terrible fit), she talked about very extreme treatment options (inpatient, intensive outpatient) in FRONT OF MY DAUGHTER, who is definitely not having enough disruption in life to warrant this. Very focused on finding more diagnosis for my daughter (lots of evals) INSTEAD of focusing on building a relationship and trust. In my opinion, needs supervision.
