They keep throwing antipsychotics at me like circus peanuts at elephants. After substance abuse issues, the prospect of sedation is terrifying-like drowning. Antipsychotics for a phlebotomist is a cruel joke. With tremors from Tardive Dyskinesia, their fear is more than palpable-it's devastating. I abhor the intense fear in their eyes-the addicts, children, and other patients. They prescribed something that rhymes with blufoxamine. I immediately experienced symptoms of mania. They said to wear plenty of sun screen, because lithium causes enhanced risk of sunburn. I continue running several miles, when possible. It helps, immensely. I had to look up side effects, to realize, the main side effect is mania. Never again. I haven't taken any medication, since. I never will again.
