Joan helped me at an extremely critical point in my life. She was a very good listener, very energetic, got me thinking in very different ways, and paying attention to things I'd never thought to pay attention to. I very much enjoyed my work with her.

As a patient with an exhaustive history of struggles with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, addiction, codependency, and mood disorders, Joan Pickett has been the singularly most influential force in my personal journey to recovery and functionality. She is the embodiment of everything a therapist should be - kind, patient, tenacious, empathetic, and unafraid to offer her patients necessary feedback, even if they are resistant. I highly recommend Mrs. Pickett's services, especially EMDR for PTSD.
