She was my midwife on call when I was induced at 35 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. I was trying to progress as naturally as possible given the situation, but she insisted on accelerating induction techniques despite both my baby and I being stable following induction. The entire time I was in her 24-hour rotation was awful. She attempted to insert a foley bulb catheter without anesthesia but had no idea what she was doing. Even my nurse encouraged her to get the OB on call to insert it. I asked too. After the 4th attempt she said, if I can’t get it this time, I’ll get the OB. She thought she successfully placed it after the 5th attempt. Less than an hour later, it fell out. It’s supposed to dilate your cervix to at least 3 or4 cm. But she did it incorrectly and I remained at 2 cm. I highly highly recommend asking for the OB if you end up in labor with her on call. Thankfully her shift was over and the new midwife rotated in and helped me through my actual delivery
