Dr. John Emmert, OD

Dr. Emmert was my "go to" Dr. for all my specialty lenses. I am a retired airline captain and Dr. Emmert was always able to give me great lenses and frames that were often out of the ordinary. He went to great lengths to see that I had the best vision possible.

I can get an appointment quickly, and the visit itself doesn't take hours. I am taken back shortly after arriving, if not immediately, and am out the door in a timely manner. You see Dr Emmert himself beginning to end - no techs. He explains as much or as little as I would like, and is good at troubleshooting. I have dry eyes due to autoimmune issues, but loathe wearing glasses. He has been extremely patient with trying one contact lens type/brand after another to find the right lens for my eyes

Dr Emmert is excellent. You never wait long waiting room, and he has office hours on Saturday. He stays up to date with his field. Dr Emmert identified an issue with my cornea and referred me to a specialist for further evaluation of that specific issue. I've gotten glasses and contacts from him, and he does a good job at making sure they are comfortable and clear.

I have been a patient of Dr. Emmert's for many years in Ottawa, IL. Since I have tried other eye specialists, including ophthalmologists, in La Salle County, over my lifetime of almost eighty years, I have never been more pleased with Dr. John Emmert's dedication and knowledge. I feel he is one of the best eye specialists in America . My husband is also a patient.
