Dr. Joseph Donahue, OD

"doctor" joseph donahue is the most rude and unprofessional person i have EVER encountered in my life. i struggle with severe anxiety and panic attacks, and this man made me cry and have a panic attack in his office, humiliated me in front of a lobby full of people, talked down to me during the exam and was just overall abrasive and hurtful.

My daughter seen this so called Dr today. He humiliated her and make her cry. Who the hell in this profession does that? Do not give this guy your business, his people skills need alot of work. Also you owe her an apology and you need to learn from acting so unprofessional. We need to be kind at all times. This could of been handled with kindness.

Dr. Donahue has always made me and my whole family feel at ease when we come in for our yearly exams. He indirectly diagnosed my oldest with pseudotumor cerebri when she was 19 because she was complaining of constant headaches. Most of the other docs dismissed it as just needing reading glasses or too much screen time, but Dr. Donahue took one look inside her eyes and noted her swollen eye nerves and assured us with calm and confidence that this was the likely cause for the headaches and that the prognosis was excellent. She then saw a neurologist who agreed with Dr. Donahue and had surgery to relievethe pressure. Long story short, in just 5 minutes Dr. Donahue was able to identify my daughter’s problem that do many other docs missed and didn’t just try to sell us glasses. We continue to see him and my spouse just got her first pair of bifocals which she was dreading, but once again Dr. Donahue knew what she needed right away without all the fancy drops and equipment.
