Dr. Judith Gurfein, PHD

Dr. Gurfein is extremely caring and insightful. She got to the root of my issue quickly and provided helpful insight and advice. During COVID she was extremely accessible by phone or zoom. I would recommend Dr. Gurfein without hesitation.

I would recommend to anyone. She quickly helped me identify issues and deftly provided durable solutions. I can't thank her enough for all that she did for me. The most caring and kind caregiver i've ever encountered.

If I could leave zero stars I would this is not about ratings this is about negligence and the absolute lack of care for someone's well-being. Dr Gurfein has been prescribing my daughter medications long after I told her that my daughter was addicted to those medications and abusing them . She should lose her license to practice . The only thing she cares about is a paycheck . She will do anything just to make sure she gets paid. Please do not see this Doctor.

This review is in reference to our niece who was a patient of Dr. Gurfein's. When I called to get our niece some emergence help I was told that there was an outstanding balance. Believing that the right thing to do was to pay the bill for our niece we did just that over the phone; then asked to get her an appt. and we were then told that the Doctor would not be able to see our niece now or nor in the future. You can now see why we would not recommend Dr. Gurfein.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Gurfein for nearly 5 years and can’t speak more highly of her. I find her to be professional, respectful and always responsive to my issues and concerns. She has had such a positive impact on my life that I continue to see her despite my having recently moved over 30 minutes away from her offices.

Dr. Gurfein is excellent. She is caring and compassionate and really listens.

Doctor Gurfeins services have helped me get through rough spots. Through her therapy, anger management classes and medication therapy I have been able to become a better person and better understand myself. She is always very accommodating and flexible with scheduling which is useful.

I have been seeing Dr. Gurfein at Arista for almost 10 years and I have nothing but great things to say about her and her staff. Dr. Gurfein is very knowledgeable in her field and in medication management. She always makes time for me when I call and has helped me through many issues and difficulties I have faced in my life. She has given me the tools and confidence to help support me the tough times and has encouraged me while continuing my progress. She is compassionate and professional.

My opinion, she knows nothing of what she prescribes, I would suggest going to a real doctor. She is not compassionate or kind at all.

Dr Gurfein is the absolute best. She is smart, kind, so helpful and always available for me no matter what. She is very dedicated and has met with me at a moments notice. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a terrific therapist and medication to help them manage their life. Love Dr. Gurfein!

Dr. Gurfein at Arista is a truly devoted and thoughtful therapist. She always had time to see me, even with very little notice. Sometimes even late at night and on the weekends because of my busy schedule and high conflict relationship. She's available by text and gets back to me usually in minutes. She has an office in Paramus and in Englewood. She has a professional staff that handled billing with my insurance company. She helped me through a very hard time in my life. I highly recommend

True story: Dr. Judy was my therapist in 1996 for a year or two and helped me out with some issues I had had. When I needed therapy again in 2015 and saw Dr. Judy for the first time in around twenty years, she knew immediately who I was. That showed me how well she listened to me and cared for me; and that's why, I continue to see Dr. Judy because I feel as if I will never find another therapist who can be as thoughtful as she is yet still be that down to earth, tell it like it is therapist.

I have been seeing Dr. Gurfein for the past 10+ years. She is extremely professional and caring. If its an urgent issue I have never had an issue booking an appointment. Very knowledgable.
