Judy Burfict, LPC

I can't say that I have ever had such a terribly horrid experience with a therapist before. I had reached out to Judy because she was supposed to be a Christian counselor and I had learned of some news regarding the death of my mother and the possible involvement of my father. At the time, I was in one of the darkest places in my life and I struggled with anger, depression, forgiveness and overall understanding in what was occurring in my life from a spiritual standpoint. As I was explaining my feelings and thoughts about my father, Judy began admonishing me loudly in my session with her. She lost her composure and totally disregarded my history of PTSD and childhood trauma. I found that my experience with Judy was callous, disrespectful and unprofessional. Since, I have found another therapist that I'm satisfied with, but I will never forget how awful I felt after my last session with Judy.
