This was the single worst appointment I've ever been part of for any medical need ever. It was at least three years ago, but my almost 13 year old daughter still talks about how humiliating and awful it was and the comments that were made to her. We waited almost 3 months for the the appointment, and the provider absolutely didn't listen, blamed my daughter for her own urinary pain and completely dismissed doing any lab work, even a simple UA. I work in healthcare administration and wanted to discuss Interstitial Cystitis differential diagnoses based on a doctor/colleague's recommendation. I was told there's no such thing as pediatric IC, which is false but she was not open to reading any journal literature about it. My child has another autoimmune condition; we navigate all kinds of appointments. We've never had such an experience either before or after. Shockingly bad.
