Thoroughly disappointed
As I told Dr. Babcock, I was thoroughly disappointed by our experience and her lack of assistance. My fiancé (now ex) and I saw Dr. Babcock 7 times over 2-months. Other than a computer-generated report from a questionnaire, she delivered zero value. We needed a professional to help to understand each other, resolve our disagreements and restore the damage that had been done. Her sessions (free-for-all argument with no moderating or guidance) just made things worse. We left each session more frustrated and angry than when we came in. To make matters worse she charges exorbitant fees that will not be reimbursed by United Health Care. It's fine that she's out of network, but she charges 3X the allowable rate for reimbursement. So I'm left paying thousands out of pocket. Even more costly is the time we lost. We could have used those 2 months to get help from someone who knew what they were doing. We broke our engagement 2 weeks later. Thank you Julia.

My fiancé and I were part of the Couples Check Up which included 2 sessions, one with a student and one with Dr.Babcock. We spent hours during the first session in completing a lengthy questionnaire and talking through a couple issues which was taped. During the follow up session with Dr.Babcock, it was obvious that she had not fully reviewed the information from the first session which was very disappointing .
