I went for an women's annual exam with PAP. Immediately had some red flags. He wanted to leave the door open to the room while we discussed my medical history. When I asked to have it closed he hesitated and asked twice if I needed a chaperone. I didn't think a chaperone would be necessary if he wasn't doing an exam and we were just speaking so I declined. When he asked questions, he didn't allow for me to fully respond or provide explanation, but would cut me off and continue to the next question. On more than three occasions he notified me that he was the Medical Director of the Women's Health Clinic, which I found to be pompous. He spoke to me belittling and showed little compassion or empathy. He was rather narcissistic, even at one point telling me his age but then stating, 'I know, I look young.' When the exam time came a nurse joined us. I was unimpressed with his 'head to toe' exam that he performed. As far as the PAP, I left in pain and bleeding for 12 hrs after the exam!
