Kandis Silvestri, LPC

I’ve seen counselors my whole life and none have understood or helped as much as Kandis. She’s seen me through many breakdowns and crises, and even when things aren’t so bad she is attentive and patient. Truly a kind, empathetic soul.

Kandis has been absolutely phenomenal from start to finish! I began seeing her about a year ago due to my anxiety and depression, as she was recommended by my PCP, whom I trust implicitly. Kandis saw me through the start of a new job and a move to a different state, all whilst providing me with techniques and insight that ultimately reduced my need for medication, which was one of my primary goals. Kandis is an absolute treasure, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone who is willing to put in the work to better themselves and their lives!

Kandis helped me understand how my childhood effected my poor decisions in picking men. She opened my eyes and lifted the fog. I can’t say enough good things about her! Thank you Kandis!

We have been seeing Kandis for more than 5 years and can’t say enough. She coordinated with the other counselors and doctors as needed and always went above and beyond to meet my family’s counseling needs. Her ability to communicate in simple and effective, kind way makes her an excellent family counselor. My kids and I love her

Response to post about "honesty" and "victim"--i wanted and needed help and change...Silvestri couldnt handle layers of pain and pace of my ability to integrate what she said. I am seeing new therapist who "gets it" and i am radically changing.

I have been a patient of Kandis’ for about 2 years now. I saw multiple therapists when I lived in California and never have I ever had a therapist who cared so much about my recovery. I suffer from extreme anxiety and depression. I was diagnosed with panic disorder after my dad died. And with her help and compassion I was able to step outside my comfort zone, and gain perspective of my own life again. She was patient with me when I was against medications. She suggested other alternatives to releasing anxiety in natural ways. And she never let me be alone when I needed her most. She extended her hours for additional emergency appointments when I need extra guidance and support. Hands down she has helped me change my life in more ways then one. Two thumbs up and five stars for her!!! We need more people in the world like her

It was a positive experience from start to finish. My situation involved a crisis and she handled my problems with professionalism. This first review sounds like a completely different person than the counselor I saw. Not every person really wants help, they want to stay a victim. Kandis called me out on a couple of issues and maybe the other person didn't want honesty.

Began as amazing. Silvestri could not handle crisis, someone not changing in the way she desired, she would not listen to positive feedback or explanations outside her comprehension. She described one issue as victimization and she did the same thing. She abandoned me and it is still a trigger. She did more harm than good.
