Dr. Kara Chace, DPT

I saw Dr. Kara Chase during a complicated third trimester. My left hip joint became looser, more painful, and less usable during that time. By the time I saw Kara, I was struggling so much that she took me into the first room available rather than make me to walk down the hall where pregnant patients are usually treated. No one could really figure out what was happening, but Kara did her absolute best for me. She had me try out a cane at my first visit, which was great, and she was supportive as I had to switch to a walker and then a wheelchair. Eventually I got in with the Dr. who had diagnosed my connective tissue disease, who determined that the issue was being caused by the relaxin hormone released during pregnancy, which was stretching my hip to the breaking point. PT wasn't going to fix the problem, so I stopped going because I could not drive myself at that point and had a lot of other appointments to get to. After I had the baby, Kara sent us a card and a book as a baby gift.
