Pushing medication for wrong diagnosis
Very disappointing experience with Karen Gieseke and staff who are more interested in prescribing medication when not needed. Dr. Zambenedetti spends more time on his wardrobe than diagnosing his patients. My daughter met with with Dr. Z perhaps for 50 minutes in total and he concluded she had depression and anxiety, however, we were coming to the office for ADHD treatment. The doctor refused to listen to my daughter’s therapist who she has been seeing for 7 months and does not agree with Dr. Z’s diagnosis as well. However, the doctor insists he knows better while maintaining a condescending and arrogant tone when speaking to you. I called to speak to Karen Gieseke who wanted nothing to do with me, refusing to speak to me to hear my concerns. The receptionist then suggested we “Google” another provider for my daughter to see. The audacity. The game here is billing as much as possible and pushing medication when not needed. Stay away from this office.

Very impressed with the services provided here. All the staff and providers take the time to answer questions, hear concerns, and promptly address and get back to you with any needs. Being a military family, it’s often difficult to find this level of care. Would recommend either location (Middletown and Bristol) to those in need of mental health care from 5-105.

First time visit was terrific. Brittany at front desk was friendly and welcoming. Kathleen quickly put me at ease and made the experience very comfortable. The rooms are lovely and create a relaxing atmosphere... which is much appreciated. Hopefully the wait time mentioned in other reviews will not be an issue. I feel quite positive about continuing in this venue.

I think its true what they say that only people who have a bad experience leave reviews. I am sure there are times when things dont run as smoothly as they can, but I personally have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this practice. The front desk staff is always kind and conscientious. I have seen Dr. Gieseke for testing and then was promptly placed with a qualified therapist with whom I have made great strides. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Gieseke herself.

Office staff is absolutely incompetent and I didn’t even get to the point where I could make an appointment or get questions answered.

Extremely disappointed that this doctor refused to see my child because he is deaf and requires an ASL interpreter. This is an accommodation for a person with a disability, protected by the ADA. She cited her lack of competency with ASL, and questioned whether she could trust the interpreter to relate what was being said. Deplorable statements from someone who is in the medical field.

My first appointment was canceled 45 minutes prior by their office. 2nd appointment I waited 30 minutes to be seen. I will say this, the woman I did see was very friendly and put me at ease. Third appointment I waited 30 minutes to be acknowledged. Finally went to the front desk to see what was going on and was told that my counselor had gone on vacation and had forgotten to call her patients (I was the third person that day and it was only 10:45am). Needless to say, I told them I would not be coming back. I gave a 1 star for staff courteousness, because of the third appointment. I wasted my time and my money (had to request off work for this appointment)
