Karin Conner, LICSW

She wasn't timely showing up, and one time almost a no show (if we didn't call her) although she had no issues terminating the video chat exactly at the end of our time (rushed). Talked about herself a lot, heritage, family and seemed to forget what the issues we brought up before were. We got 5 free sessions and she pitched us early on to let her know if we planned on going past the 5 free sessions because she would approach the situation differently. She explained her strategy to us, telling us that she normally wants to see a couple fight early on in the sessions and after we didn't fight seemed to instigate an argument by talking in circles and pushing a false narrative. We never went to all the sessions , but she did offer a ' sort of personality test' as a 'hail mary' attempt to help, which seemed like something that we should have done on day 1.

Karin is a great therapist diverse in many different styles of therapy, one that worked specifically well for me was simple cognitive behavior therapy. Kairn is great at asking questions and leaving you to finding your own answers. Very welcoming, friendly, down-to-earth, and conversational.

I worked with Karin for about 4 months. Her counseling sessions were okay, as others say she would talk about herself a lot. Otherwise I found her to be quite disrespectful. She was constantly 20 or more minutes late to appointments and cancelled appointments about 50% of the time. She also was very difficult to contact outside of appointments. I'm sure there are better counselors out there, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Karin is my second long-term counselor. I was very nervous about working with someone new but she made me feel very comfortable. She uses analogies to help explain concepts and ideas and she’s very warm and easy to talk to. I found myself opening up to her very quickly and understanding my struggles for the first time. I would highly recommend her!

She was more than 45 minutes late to every session. Info and therapy was not helpful as she mostly talked about herself. No worth the money!

Started counseling with Karin for depression/relationship issues. I sought counsel many years ago with a LCSW, since retired and had a very positive therapeutic experience. The experience with Karin is a stark and disappointing contrast. Much of the time she talks about herself, her relationships, and her accomplishments and reports she is highly sought after for her expertise.. She is regaled with her long-winded simple stories. Disorganized and chronically late:: twice 40 min, no-show once.

She was very warm and open about a variety of topics and was consistently working to help you achieve what you felt needed to be changed. I felt very safe in her care, and that she understood and empathized with my situation and feelings. Having been a client for almost 18 months, it was amazing to see where I had first started, and the better place I was in, when leaving her care. This was mostly in part to her guidance and the work that we both were equally invested in. I highly recommend!

Started working with Karin when I was 18 and continued working with her for the following 3 years. She provided a very warm, welcoming inviting environment, a safe space to share and grow. Her analogies are down to earth, she is very patient, and her goal is to be whatever resource you need during that time. I highly recommend her service, expertise, and style of therapy if you like down to earth.
