We started going to "Dr. Katie" in 2019 when we moved to the area with our then one year old. She's been great for our daughter and we we asked specifically for her for our newborn son. Our children love seeing her and going to the doctors isnt a chore with her, it's a bit of a treat.

Dr. Katie has been seeing both of my children since being born (my oldest in now nearly 5). She always puts them at ease, is able to get them to allow her to check anything that hurts, and has always given sound advice and her full attention when we have met. She is why my kids have a healthy relationship going to doctors and they genuinely love going to see her.

During my son’s 3 year wellness visit I discussed with NP Wingo my observations. I clearly told her what I was observing, that it only occurred in certain situations and I was seeking any advice if she had any as a parent on how to address it. During the visit she misinterpreted everything I told her. I informed her that she was not comprehending what I was saying and corrected her several times. While I was explaining it to her, thinking she wanted to understand, she looked at her watch. When I received her summary, she misinterpreted and misrepresented our conversation put that in my son’s record as opposed to what I told her. We had a 15 minute conversation and somehow she feels as though she knows the child better than the parent. When I called Tyson’s Corner Pediatrics to relay my concerns, she updated the record to say that I don’t think her inaccurate summary is concerning. If it’s inaccurate then why would I be concerned. Needless to say I removed my son from this pediatrician.
