I am extremely disappointed and appalled by the lack of care my sister received during her recent hospital stay. My sister, who suffers from chronic pain due to sickle cell disease, was admitted for a sickle cell crisis and was left in excruciating pain for 9 hours without any meaningful intervention or relief.Kathryn Gombar demonstrated a shocking level of negligence and lack of compassion. Despite being fully aware of her condition and the severity of her pain, she never saw my sister, but communicated through an RN.Chronic conditions like sickle cell disease require attentive and compassionate care, especially during a crisis. Kathryn failure to provide timely and appropriate medical attention is unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for patient well-being. This experience has deeply shaken our trust in the medical care provided by this hospital. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for the administration to address such serious issues so no one else experiences this.
