Dr. Keith Valone, PHD

While clearly qualified on paper, Dr. Valone is a prime example of a resume not making the sum of a good or great clinician. While knowledgeable in certain areas, he missed the mark by a long shot in my case. After extensive and expensive testing and medication management (in conjunction with a psychiatrist), not only was I incorrectly prescribed, but the medications I was on were only making my condition significantly worse. I say this with confidence, after years of severe mental illness and suicide attempts and many hospitalizations. My point is that, when I finally found the one prescriber/clinician who saved my life, he I did so with the wherewithal to perform a simple DNA test. The results were conclusive and proved that the litany of medications I had been on over the years, were making episodes significantly worse. Moreover, I got this quick and efficient help through a public mental health clinic in my current city. Very telling.
