Kelly Jernigan, PA-C

I've had experience with psychiatrists the majority of my life and Kelly was the most condescending physician assistant I have ever had- it was the worst at our last appointment wherein she constantly interrupted me, talked down to me, and made me feel less than for having the problems I was there to get treated for. Although I'm not happy to see others have had the same experience, I'm glad it wasn't just me. Avoid her if you can, she doesn't have the manners or care required for this position and I am not the only patient she upset/made cry after the appointment. Terrible. 0 stars.

Kelly was my psychiatric provider before leaving the practice and was nothing but kind, accepting, and helpful. She made me feel seen, addressed my concerns with medication, and was an incredible provider! I will miss her greatly!

She was very condescending and did not care about a single thing that I had to say. She jumped to conclusions and only cared about filling her form to get her paycheck. I typically do not leave reviews but she made me cry after my appointment.

Dont be fooled by the seemingly fake positive reviews (check the similar wording between the positive reviews they’re all written with the same wording and phrasing) Kelly Jernigan has a proven history of treating patients as if they are “faking it” or seeking drugs for recreational purposes rather than medicinal. I had the same experience and have seem other statements online dating back as 5 years ago If she doesn’t like writing prescriptions and suspects her patients are all drug addicts then she should perhaps pursue a career in law enforcement instead

Kelly Jernigan was dismissive and condescending during my visit. She even displayed frustration by rolling her eyes in response to concerns I raised regarding the side effects of the medication treatment she proposed. I felt devastated after the consult. If you need medical help, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Not once, in all of my interactions with Kelly, did I feel as though I was being treated poorly or degraded. Kelly was kind, engaged, compassionate, & engaging. She truly cared about me as a person & my pain. She always adjusted my medication to fit my current issues/needs, & as I tapered to less & less meds, she enthusiastically rooted for me. When she left PM, I was devastated! I still miss her warm, invested ways, & every patient I’ve spoken to feels exactly the same. Kelly was/is amazing!

Kelly has always been a great provider. First and foremost, she's consistently provided sound and compassionate care. Beyond that, she has always been friendly and empathetic - clearly something important in pain management. She not only is a great listener, but she also is very good in answering questions and explaining things. I would definately recommend her.

“Dr. Kelly”(as I referred to her)has always been a wonderful and kind provider. Whenever I had issues, questions, or concerns, PA Kelly and the staff at Dr. Dobecki’s have always been there for me. I was in their care for about 3 years and always was able to get in and seen when needed. I also felt Kelly listened, provided excellent care, and took care of me well while there. I would not hesitate to recommend her or SDPI.

The staff was wonderful but kelly was rude and disrespectful . She treated me like if I was a drug addict. I left the office crying. Its bad enough I have chronic pain and 2 future surgeries and she treats me like a criminal.

I first I thought dr Kelly was the nicest doctor. One day she just switched her personality. She started treating me like a drug seeker. She was rude aggressive and unreasonable. I started dreading my monthly appointments with her. I would cry every single time I left because I felt degraded as a person. The day I walked away from San Diego pain management I grew a thousand times lighter. This business only wants to work with people who make them money.
