Dr. Kim Arredondo, PHD

Several years ago, Dr. Arredondo did a family study in my divorce. She accused me of trying to persuade my children to tell her they wanted to live with me rather than my husband. I DID NOT do any such thing. My children were in DANGER over at his home because he had and continues to have a very serious problem with alcohol. She caused my children to be exposed to his drinking which was traumatizing for them.

She accused me of financial control without ever asking for my bank statements. She did not trust my word and when I provided her with hard evidence after the report was written, she had to admit my version of events. In this day and age, she does not record her interviews with her clients except via hand-written notes. In my view, this is against the transparency practices and the client has no way of proving if they did or did not say somethings during the evaluation.

Dr. Arredondo was appointed to help my family during a very divisive divorce. It's obvious from reading some of the other reviews that unhappy, bitter people haven't been happy with results from their own trials and are projecting their bitterness onto Dr. Arredondo. In my experience, she was exceptionally professional, unbiased, and demonstrated a true desire to understand all of the facts of the case. She is committed to truth and to the well-being of her clients (especially children). If you're not comfortable with truth, you probably won't be happy here. But don't let the negative responses fool you -- she's a qualified therapist who provides quality services.

Like others have stated, I'm very dissatisfied with her services. I wish I could give zero stars. Her advice is disturbing. My children told me they didn't like meeting with her after she violated the confidentiality of her meetings with them. She's supposed to help the CHILDREN with the trauma of divorce, not my ex. Judges and lawyers name her because they haven't done quality control on what she is advising the children. When I told my lawyer things she advised my kids, he was shocked.

I would leave negative stars if it were possible. I agree with all of the other comments. She is all about money and uses her personal experiences to sway her decision. She is very unethical; I'm surprised there are no sanctions listed!

If you are n a legal situation, she will do what you tell her for money. She uses questionable practices professionally.

I would not recommend Dr Arredondo to any one. She is the only psychologist with a PhD after her name in the Bryan College Station area so she is recommended by judges & attorneys. Having a PhD after your name does not make you moral , honest,competent or wise. The judge & attorneys recommended her & not knowing anything about her I accepted their recommendation. If you are ever told or asked to use her refuse . Ask to see a list of qualified psychologist & time to review them.

If I could give no stars, I would. In my opinion, this Dr. is the most unprofessional and unethical "psychologist" I have ever met. I would never recommend her to anyone!

Would not recommend. She uses her personal experiences to make decisions on your circumstances. Doesn't review all the facts, and doesn't seem to care about the outcome of her decisions.
