I've been using Dr. Berghaus for years. She's very down to earth and always makes me feel comfortable. I like her and her and staff enough that I recommend her to my family and friends.

Very concerned about the patient taking her time to do a thorough examination. Wants to make sure all your questions are answered before going to the next patient.

Unacceptable behavior
When I attempted to follow my adult son to the exam room, at his request, I was told I could not go back. This has never happened to us before at any doctor’s office. I didn’t argue. A few minutes later, Tony came out, and insisted on leaving. He said he was there to get his test results not to have a physical and no one in the office had ever advised him that this visit was for anything other than discussing the results of his blood work. The office manager followed us to the parking lot asking what the problem was. I explained and she assured us if he would come back in, they would only discuss his test results & I could be present. They have the proper paperwork stating they can discuss all information with me. we returned, Tony passed through the door & the office manager immediately spread eagled herself to the door frame, yelling that I was not allowed in. Her previous statement assuring us I would be, was a lie. Tony left, stating he would not return.

Insensitive
At the beginning of my appointment, I expressed that I don't want to be weighed since I am in eating disorder recovery. I was told that it is mandatory due to insurance/medication reasons, which I had to accept. It was unprofessional how rudely this information was told to me, though. Even after this conversation at the very beginning of the appointment, I was verbally told my weight twice. I have never experienced this insensitivity with another medical provider.

Horrible, I have had a high WBC for a year! I’ve explained extreme fatigue, now I have swollen lymph nodes, trouble swallowing, headaches any many other Symptoms . I saw an immediate care tonight and was told I need to find a new physician and that it’s absolutely ridiculous that the physician I’ve been seeing been has not figured out the reasons for not only my high WBC but my symptoms as well. She just threw antibiotics at me and didn’t tell me to fallow up! Plus I’m still waiting on the results of my foot X-Ray which was a week ago and has since been uploaded to baptist my chart. Luckily it’s not fractured but I’d like to know since there were other findings if I should see a podiatrist. Just waiting to see when they’ll decide to call me back at this point. I’m tired of feeling sick and have a physician that doesn’t care or thorough. I had to pull teeth’s to get a B12 test!!!! Which came back normal, but what about my high WBC and other things that showed up high on my CBC!

She gave me too low of a dose of medicine that was to help me breathe. It caused periodic choking. She would not give a higher dose even though my pharmacist said it was too much of a drop in mg. The pharmacist was right. The low dose caused lots of trouble. I do not recommend this nurse practitioner. She does not seem to care. I also noticed her side of the office was not very clean. Used band aids on the floor.

Very expensive for a NP. Appointment was over 300 dollars. Seems like she wants to break appointments up so you will be paying more. She works slowly.

If I could leave 0 stars I would... she has RBF and actually is one to match. Go somewhere else’s if you actually expect to get help.

I would not recommend the office in Shepherdsville, I have always tried to make my appointments and be early.... I was in traffic one time and was 10 minutes late and they would not see me. This was not due to other patients because it was the end of the day..... I have waited past my appointment time without an issue and have seen her assistant in training no issue but I am late one time and not only would they not see me, but made me wait 10 minutes to let me know she could not see me......
