Dr. Kimberly Patterson, PHD

Dr. Kimberly at Impact Counseling & Wellness Education has honestly changed my entire way of thinking and thus, my life. I understand I put in a lot of work too, but without her tools and guidance I don't know how I would have continued to cope throughout my life. She practiced meditation with me, and while I have been in therapy for over a decade, and used other methods (meds, EMDR) as a resource before, counseling has never been this effective. She took her time getting to know me, therefore, was able to get down to the real roots of my issues, for me to really se life in a healthy way. I have recommended her practice to several friends. I will continue to see her even though I just moved to Dallas, I’m glad she offer telehealth so I can continue!

Dr. Kim obviously enjoys meeting people and he's a very good listener.

Dr. Patterson held a workshop where she spoke about mental health and made me understand that it doesn't mean that I have a problem to seek help. Now I'm seeing a therapist on a consistent basis.

Dealing with Kim is painful torment no one deserves. She has the personality of a truck driver only not as classy. Her policy strictly forbids leaving on-line reviews, uh...this is America ma'am!!! It speaks volumes that she threatens to terminate any client who leaves a review. Kim's policy on reviews (copied directly from her client paperwork): "I ask that you respect my privacy and refrain from posting any “reviews” or other information regarding my practice or me on any website such as HealthGrades, Angie’s List, or other forum for posting public reviews of health care providers. By your signature below, you agree that you will not post any “review” or any other information on any website without my prior written permission. If I believe that you have violated this agreement,I reserve the right to terminate our professional relationship immediately"

A wonderful and caring counselor. I saw her for a couple of months and she really helped me gain perspective. I would definitely see her again.

Dr. Patterson is the MOST unprofessional counselor I’ve ever met. My first appointment I had to wait half an hour for her, when she arrived she was dressed as if she’d rolled out of bed. I gave her the benefit of the doubt moving on to see her for further appointments only for her to disrespect me, undermine my thoughts & feelings and ATTEMPT to push over me/abuse her power as a counselor. Definitely left a bad taste for seeing counselors.
