Kimberly Prather, NP

I was referred to a gastroenterologist by my internal medicine physician. Kimberly was friendly enough at first, and I was thrilled to get an appointment on short notice. Occasionally, she seemed annoyed by some of my questions. Maybe she wasn't, but that was my perception: like I was taking too much time. She ordered a few tests and that was that. There was no follow up from her about my results. Apparently, results are entered into a patient portal and they can see that you've read them. The end. I guess the hope is that you understand what you're reading and call them with questions. What happens if someone thinks they understand but are wrong? I say it's a poor way of doing business, but I'm sure that's dictated by Ochsner. I want my physicians to feign some concern and contact me as a person instead of treating me like a number or a dollar sign. Customer service goes a long way towards good referrals which in turn generate more revenue.

Very professional, gr8 bedside manner, had read my lengthy file prior to entering the room, good advice, answered all my questions. Excellent overall!
