If therapy were just being told what to do, having someone give personal opinions and bring personal biases and experiences into therapy, then Kim is your person. She does not use evidenced based practices or teach you new skills, is aggressive at times in her approach to matters, crosses boundaries with family dynamics, and has displayed some unprofessional behavior during sessions that should have been reported. She is a like-able and enjoyable human being, someone you would enjoy as a friend, but I feel like I wasted valuable time trusting she was doing good therapy. I have since found out what good therapy is like and you should do your research before choosing the type of therapist you need. It's not about charisma; it's about being good at what you do and understanding how to help your clients. I believe she really made matters worse for my family and myself and have benefitted from finding professionals more qualified.
