Do not let this woman anywhere near anything that has to do with your children. After being assigned her for a custody evaluation, I have absolutely nothing positive to say about her as a person or a professional. 7 months and $7000 later she provided a report with countless errors, and a list of recommendations that was one nonsensical sentence fragment after another, to the point that a mediator who was trying to make sense of it just kept shaking his head because it was so difficult to read. It is also made completely clear that the rules did not apply evenly to both myself and my ex. There were documents that Kim was provided from my ex that I heard of for the first time when Kim spoke about them in her report. She made a special point of chastising me for not providing information to the other party in the report, after she did not make everything very clear of her "rules", but those rules were only applied to me. The very next paragraph was devoted entirely to a document that was never provided to me. She is unprofessional, cancelled several appointments at the last minute, and would go several weeks at a time without returning a phone call or email, no matter how important it was. 7 months and $7,000. If you hear a whisper of her name, stay away, and keep your children as far away from her as possible.

My son has been doing supervised visits with Kim Underwood for over a year now, she has been completely biased against him from the beginning, the mother of his child shows up before the visits to tell Kim lies about him. She has taken lies that the mother has told her and included them in her notes provided to the court, even after proof that the mother was telling untruths. She does not have the child's best interest at heart. It seems she will write what she wants for the mediator to continue recommending visits be supervised. It is disgusting to watch my son pay for these visits to keep this woman employed. I would give no stars if it were an option.

Request another appointment….Extremely unprofessional and thinks that because she works for the court they’re protected. Any and all government employees, i can’t believe they assesments now i know why they do have job applicants assessment, because only the stupid get government jobs. I can’t believe they even work there and they have the child’s best interest they don’t have nobody but their best interest, oh but I’m gonna give it to them all royally just like they like it court appointed just for them

Co Parenting can be hard and stressful. Kim has way of explaining things and it's been a huge help. She's extremely professional and has answered all of my questions/concerns.

Kim Underwood is a professional and kind evaluator who works great with children and is tremendous and detail oriented at her job. I went to court what seems like a hundred times if not more informing the courts of the trauma and abuse my children went through and the courts allowed the children to be in the home of the abuser and allow the father and abuser (dads fiancé) to consistently break the court order weekly. Kim was able to uncover all the police reports, past fillings and allegations. Kim is very good at her job and great at uncovering what is in the children's best interest. If you are a good parent and have nothing to hide and are 100% truthful then you should not have any issues. The courts definitely need more evaluators like Kim Underwood. I highly recommend Kim.

Kim Underwood is the most amazing counselor ever. We should all endeavor to have her care, tact and wisdom.

This woman does not have the childs best intrest at heart!!!!! she is all for the moms even if the mom is no good to be around the child! she needs to be removed from the courts asap

She is the worst. She did not look at Dads evidence at all even though we proved Bio mom wrong on so many of her lies. She allowed bio mom to give her videos without giving dad a copy which is against her contract rules that all parties signed. She ripped 2 children from dads care where they had been living and attending the same school for 7 years and moved them with bio mom 7 hours away from dad.(despite the fact that they were excelling in school, had half siblings, and family support with us) No abuse or neglect or reason to take them from us. The children are legally too young to choose where they want to live but she took their wishes into consideration without realizing kids love the "Disney land parent" more than the structured parent. She interviewed the children in bio moms home instead of a neutral setting. 100% biased towards the mom from the beginning.

I do not recommend Kim Underwood as a child custody evaluator. The negative reviews that you read are very true. She is biased against men and does not make her recommendations with the childs safety as the #1 priority. I don't know how she sleeps at night knowing this.

Kim Underwood is very unprofessional and does not protect children. She is very abusive and talks over you. She hides information from the judge. If you have ger make sure you record her. Also file your complaints with the board of behavioral sciences. These mediators are cery unethical and play dirty. If you file complaints they retaliate and the kids suffer. I do not know how women like her sleep at night. She looks tired and says on court record that she didn’t read the file. I would say run!

We found Ms Underwood to be very judgemental and condescending in a recent child custody evaluation that our son took part in. Ms Underwood failed to see the truth behind the web of lies that was spun by my sons ex, even after they were disproven. The seed of doubt was planted and her lack of discernment shattered the life of my son and his relationship with his child. So if you are a male in need of child custody evaluation, choose wisely. He paid 6000.00 for her professional “opinion”
