Dr. Kirsi Niemela-Waller, PHD

My mother was referred by her neurologist to see Dr. Kirsi Waller. I’m very happy with the service provide, She’s a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend her!

Incorrect. Unsupportive. Poor listener

Dr. Waller is quite kind, and while she had very warm words for me, I’m afraid my overall experience with her has been less than satisfactory. I don’t leave negative reviews; it’s not in my nature. However, I feel this warrants it. I came to her for a very, very specific reason. I told her up front exactly what I needed and asked her if she was the right person to help me. She said she was and then ran several tests. When the results came in she told me that she couldn’t do anything for me and that I needed to see a psychiatrist to get what I needed. I then got an $800 bill in the mail. She won’t work with me on it despite having previously told me she would lower my bill amount since I’m in college and have no income and my insurance won’t cover it. She is also very hard to get ahold of. I have called her office numerous times and have had to leave a voicemail every time which she takes ages to return, if she does at all.

I read some bad reviews online, so I armed myself with low expectations, but I was totally surprised to find that she is both very professional and encouraging. She listened thoughtfully and respectfully, and I know my concerns were taken seriously. She put me at ease when I came in worried and tense, and I left with renewed confidence, even though that's not what I was seeking in this appointment. I whole-heartedly recommend her as an honest, intelligent, helpful psychologist.
